About Me
I’m Wendy James Gulley. I grew up mostly in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, and currently live in the Boston area with my husband and two children. As if I don’t have enough to worry about with global warming and an autistic son, I am concerned that cell phones and iPods have made it easier for us to ignore strangers that pass us by each day. I believe that we are all connected and deserve acknowledgment as we go through the day.
Don’t look away; smile and say ‘hi’!

I’m saying “Hi,” Wendy . . .
greetings from the friendly little town of Elkin, NC. When Tad and I walk the dogs we wave and/or acknowledge each car that goes by, because the driver has waved to us. Tad always asks “Who was that?” and I frequently reply, “I have no idea.” But the wave is automatic.
I send a wave to you as well.
